Underwriting Coordinator, Facultative
About the role
This is a fantastic entry point for someone eager to build deep expertise in facultative reinsurance operations. In this role you will be an essential partner to our team of Facultative Underwriters supporting for all non-client facing activities, including but not limited to:
- Data entry of Submission risk clearance
- Policy tracking and client follow-ups for missing documents
- Provide administrative support regarding records management and processes for the business relationships in his/her area of responsibility
- Affords administrative support for the planning and reporting process including data gathering and data entry
- Enforces and maintains guidelines throughout all facultative risks including archiving and storage planning
Responsibilities
Handle information flows, spot gaps, and ensure accuracy across systems and documents — so an analytical mindset and ease with structured tasks are as essential as engaging with colleagues, sharing ideas, asking questions, and building strong working relationships.
About the Team
We are a friendly and diverse group of individuals located in the U.S., Canada, and Mexico with a wide range of experience in the reinsurance industry. We support North America Property and Casualty Reinsurance teams and units in delivering on their core mandates. We are part of a global team called Reinsurance Business Operations, bringing together different perspectives, backgrounds, and expertise as we collaborate closely with our colleagues all over the world.

Additional Requirements
- Proven experience in the (re)insurance industry, preferably in operational, underwriting support, or business services roles
- Strong understanding of operational processes such as submissions handling, policy documentation and general reinsurance workflows
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to work with complex information accurately
- Apply sound judgment, logic, and common sense in decision-making
- Demonstrates willingness to share knowledge and act as a reference point for less experienced team members
- Comfortable working with data and maintaining organized and accurate information across multiple systems
- Experience identifying process gaps and contributing to operational improvements
- Strong sense of ownership and accountability for end-to-end task completion

Our Company
We have a hybrid work model where the expectation is that you will be in the office at least three days per week. This position is not eligible for full-time telework, relocation assistance or visa sponsorship. The estimated base salary range for this position is $52,000 to $78,000. The specific salary offered for this or any given role will take into account a number of factors including but not limited to job location, scope of role, qualifications, complexity/specialization/scarcity of talent, experience, education, and employer budget.
