Underwriter (Warwick R.I. or Kennesaw GA)

Prefer someone who can work onsite at either Warwick, RI or Kennesaw, GA office. Will also consider remote applicants.

About the role

As a Full-Time Non-QM Underwriter at LendSure Mortgage Corp, you will play a critical role in ensuring our company's success. You will be responsible for rendering credit decisions on incoming applicants consistent with internal policies, underwriting mortgage commitments, and verifying supporting documentation as submitted by Mortgage Brokers. You will uphold our commitment to excellence in service level agreements.

Responsibilities

• Review and analyze documentation provided on each loan to make an informed lending decision in compliance with LendSure Mortgage Corp.'s policies and guidelines.
• Review complex tax returns.
• Perform duties under minimal supervision and actively engage with the supervisor to resolve complicated issues.
• Communicate effectively in both verbal and written form.
• Manage strong time management skills to plan and organize a high daily loan volume.
• Collaborate constructively with fellow employees as a detail-oriented team player.

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of recent experience underwriting non-conforming residential mortgage loans.
• Minimum 5 years of experience with state and federal lending regulations (i.e., Ability to Repay, RESPA, Reg B, Reg Z, Fair Lending, etc.).

Qualifications

• Knowledge of real estate lending and loan structuring.
• Familiarity with real estate markets and valuation methodologies.
• Strong understanding of borrower financials, credit risk, and KYC/AML compliance.
• Proficiency in tools like Encompass, Salesforce, and Excel.

Pay

Competitive salary ranging from $68,500 to $90,000, plus a lucrative quarterly discretionary bonus plan.
