Underwriter/Broker

Primary focus

Primary focus is to assist Underwriter/Broker Senior in servicing and operational management of accounts. Underwrites, services, and manages assigned accounts. Has Production and Service goals assigned and is measured on attainment of both.

Underwriting responsibilities

• Determines whether to accept, modify or decline a risk through evaluation of the property's value, location, usage, and safety features, and other information pertinent to the decision.
• Has frequent contact with field to gather information on which to base and defend underwriting decisions.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree and 3 years related experience required.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Windows applications and Microsoft Office.
