Underground Wet Utilities Laborer
Position Summary
The Underground Laborer is responsible for supporting the underground/wet utilities crews in completing various construction tasks. This position plays a key role in ensuring our projects are built on-time and ahead of schedule!
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Perform general construction labor, including job site clean-up
- Assist crew members in various labor tasks
- Move various construction materials, both by hand and utilizing various material transport mechanisms
- Engage in preparation work to ready the worksite for other crew members to perform defined tasks
- Operate motorized equipment including power tools, saws, etc.
- Monitor processes, materials, and/or surroundings
- Perform functions according to company and OSHA safety guidelines
- Clean, inspect and perform routine maintenance of equipment and tools
- Load and unload materials, machinery, and tools
- Clean and prepare sites to eliminate possible hazards
- Meet production goals from the direction of the site Foreman or Superintendent
- Adhere to all DCS Contracting safety policies, procedures, and instructions from management
- Perform other duties as required and assigned
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- General knowledge of OSHA standards and requirements
- Able to work outside in all weather conditions
- Willingness to learn and accept direction from field supervision
- Must be a team player and be willing to help out wherever is needed for the success of the project
- Safety first mindset, MUST stop work if something is unsafe
- Reliable transportation and work schedule flexibility
- Ability to do physical labor and other strenuous physical tasks

Pay
Pay starts at $20+ an hour, depending on experience.
Schedule
- Summer hours: 5am to 1pm
- Winter hours: 7am to 3pm
- Work hours may vary

Requirements
