Responsibilities
- Supervise crews that install wet and dry utilities in various settings including water lines, storm drain, and sanitary sewer lines, and dry conduits.
- Assign tasks to pipe layers/operators and inspect their work to ensure compliance with specifications.
- Estimate, requisition, and inspect materials.
- Study production schedules and estimate worker hours for job completion.
- Establish or adjust work procedures to meet production schedules.
- Recommend measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality of products to enhance work crew efficiency.
- Resolve work problems and assist workers in solving issues.
- Maintain time and production records.
- Analyze and resolve work problems, assist workers in solving work problems, and initiate or suggest plans to motivate workers to achieve work goals.
- Maintain a general knowledge of equipment used on the job, including basic understanding of equipment limits and designed purposes.
Requirements
- Minimum 10 years experience with underground utility installation.
- Minimum 5 years experience as a foreman over a crew.
- A minimum of 4 years experience installing Storm Sewer/RCP, Waterline, and Sanitary Sewer.
- OSHA 30 certification is preferred.
- If available, a crew to come with is a plus.
- Flexible availability to include overtime and weekends.
