Responsibilities
- Works with field personnel and supervisors to analyze job tasks and current field performance to determine training needs and program content.
- Effectively implements training programs and field quality audit programs.
- Supervises, directs and instructs trainees during classroom, hands-on and on-the-job training assignments.
- Evaluates performance to ensure all trainees are sufficiently trained to perform their assigned duties by reviewing and evaluating field and methods in refresher training.
- Ensures that work is performed in accordance with appropriate Company standards and work methods including monitoring for a high quality of workmanship.
- Provides employee feedback and seeks to enhance performance and safety.
- Directs efforts to achieve top quartile excellence regarding safe work practices and safety performance.
- Promotes teamwork among and between all members of the electric distribution and transmission organizations and other internal groups.
Requirements
- Minimum of eight (8) years of direct craft experience in Transmission, Distribution and/or Field Service design and/or installation, servicing customers and supervising employees.
- Training or instructional experience preferred.
Qualifications
- Technical Knowledge/Skill: Requires knowledge of utility transmission and distribution system design, operations, maintenance, and construction principles and practices, safety standards and business processes.
- Excellent communication skills, ability to present theory and concepts, as well as hands-on technical instruction with clarity, confidence, and enthusiasm.
- Leadership, coaching abilities and schedule management skills.
- Ability to use PC desktop applications (e.g., Microsoft Word & Excel).
- Working knowledge of labor contracts.
Skills
- Driver’s License, D.O.T. preferred.

- The annual salary range for this position is: $133,290.00-$148,100.00.
