Underground Construction Laborer – Hiring Now

Key Responsibilities

• Perform general labor duties for telecommunications construction projects
• Auxiliary tasks include directional drilling, excavation, trenching, pipe placement, backfilling, and site restoration
• Support conduit, duct, cable, and pedestal installations
• Perform potholing and hand digging around existing utilities
• Set up and break down job sites daily, including equipment and materials
• Direct and control traffic safely in active work zones (flagging)
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe job site at all times
• Ensure proper handling and accountability of tools, equipment, and materials
• Complete daily equipment safety inspections and maintenance checks
• Accurately complete all required company documentation for each assignment according to established company standards and procedures
• Work safely and comply with all established safety policies and procedures
• Reconcile all issued parts and materials on a daily basis to ensure accurate material usage counts
• Work efficiently to complete tasks on schedule in a fast-paced environment
• Collaborate with crew members and support field operations as needed
• Willingness to work shifts as assigned, including daily overtime when necessary

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Experience in general construction, including flagging, landscaping, and/or concrete restoration
• Telecommunications or directional drilling experience preferred
• Ability to safely direct traffic and maintain secure work zones
• Strong physical stamina with the ability to dig, lift, climb, bend, crawl, and stand for extended periods
• Ability to work in various weather conditions and outdoor environments
• Strong work ethic with reliability, punctuality, and accountability
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
• Effective communication skills when interacting with coworkers, customers, and homeowners
• Valid driver's license required; Class A CDL preferred
• Ability to pass drug screening and background check
• Must be authorized to work in the United States
