Undergraduate Research Assistant, DIBI
Responsibilities
- Conduct background research on advanced manufacturing adoption, emerging technologies, and defense industrial base trends
- Support research on submarine industrial base and supply chain constraints, including literature reviews and data gathering
- Aid in research on unmanned systems, including drone technologies and unmanned surface vessel (USV) production
- Take detailed meeting notes and help prepare summaries, memos, and briefings for internal and external stakeholders
- Support preparation of research materials, presentations, and internal reports
- Afford general administrative and coordination support for DIBI research activities, meetings, and events as needed
Qualifications
- Must be a current undergraduate student
- U.S. citizen (required due to federal funding restrictions)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and ability to synthesize information clearly and concisely
- Interest in defense, technology, supply chains, or public policy preferred
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines with minimal supervision
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); Teams/Zoom experience preferred
