Duties And Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement recruitment strategies to attract and matriculate undergraduate students.
  • Coordinate virtual and in-person travel, including attending high school and college fairs, classroom presentations, regional recruitment programs, and other on- and off-campus events.
  • Cultivate relationships with faculty, guidance counselors, and instructors in assigned territory.
  • Manage the case load related to the assigned territory, implementing various elements of the Paul Smith’s College recruitment communication plan, counseling prospective students, and managing admissions application processing.
  • Communicate with prospective students to assist them in completing entry requirements, discussing academic programs, and exploring financial aid opportunities.
  • Collaborate with the International Principal Designated School Official (PDSO) to ensure timely collection of I20 documents for international students who have deposited.
  • Work with campus personnel involved in the recruitment process to meet enrollment goals for the assigned territory.
  • Follow up with prospects and applicants via phone, email, text, and direct mail.
  • Utilize the Slate CRM platform to generate reports and data about the recruiting territory.
  • Perform related duties as assigned by the Director of Admissions, Director of Graduate Admissions, Director of Enrollment Operations, and the Vice President for Enrollment Management.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a related field. Graduate degree or coursework is welcomed.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and make a positive impression on prospective students, their parents, and high school guidance counselors.
  • Understanding and ability to present essential information about the College and its programs.
  • Sensitivity and commitment to issues of access and inclusion.
  • Ability to work with a broad range of diverse individuals and groups to form a safe and inclusive workplace.
  • A valid driver’s license and a driver record meeting the College’s insurer’s standards.
  • Ability to lift and carry 50 lbs and set up a simple display.
  • Occasional evening and weekend work, and limited travel may be required.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, professionalism, creativity, and relational abilities. They should be able to build and maintain strong relationships with prospective students, guidance counselors, and the campus community. Fluency within the Slate CRM platform is preferred but not required.

Skills

Strong interpersonal and communication skills, ability to work independently and collaboratively, proficiency in Microsoft Office, and familiarity with online recruitment tools.

$62,353.20 annually

Schedule

In person position with occasional remote flexibility. Remote arrangements may be considered for employees located in downstate New York or New Jersey.
