About the role
Teach the undergraduate course Guided Field Experience in Teaching Spanish (EDUC 4931). The course meets in person once per week and supports teacher-education students during their secondary Spanish field placements.
Responsibilities
- Guide field experience in secondary Spanish courses.
- Evaluate student learning using appropriate assessment methods and the School of Education program evaluation system.
- Maintain and submit accurate, current records of student accountability, attendance, and performance.
- Maintain a student-oriented approach to education.
- Provide individual consultation and feedback for students in the field.
- Uphold professional and ethical standards; adhere to University policies and procedures.
Requirements
- Master’s degree (required).
- Substantial progress toward a terminal degree (preferred).
- Doctorate or Master’s degree plus experience in the field of education (preferred).
- Wisconsin DPI licensure as a Spanish teacher.
- Experience teaching Spanish in middle and/or high school.
- Experience in higher education.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
