About the role

Teach the undergraduate course Guided Field Experience in Teaching Spanish (EDUC 4931). The course meets in person once per week and supports teacher-education students during their secondary Spanish field placements.

Responsibilities

• Guide field experience in secondary Spanish courses.
• Evaluate student learning using appropriate assessment methods and the School of Education program evaluation system.
• Maintain and submit accurate, current records of student accountability, attendance, and performance.
• Maintain a student-oriented approach to education.
• Provide individual consultation and feedback for students in the field.
• Uphold professional and ethical standards; adhere to University policies and procedures.

Requirements

• Master’s degree (required).
• Substantial progress toward a terminal degree (preferred).
• Doctorate or Master’s degree plus experience in the field of education (preferred).
• Wisconsin DPI licensure as a Spanish teacher.
• Experience teaching Spanish in middle and/or high school.
• Experience in higher education.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
