About the role

The College of Engineering, Department of Industrial and Manufacturing Engineering is seeking applicants for a part-time Undergraduate Research Assistant.

Responsibilities

• Support the design, fabrication, and testing of mechanical fixtures for battery pack assembly and research.
• Assist with CAD design, prototyping, fixture validation, and technical documentation.
• Develop fixture concepts for locating, holding, and securing battery pack components.
• Create 3D CAD models, assemblies, and engineering drawings.
• Perform fit checks and evaluate fixture alignment, rigidity, and repeatability.
• Document design iterations, test results, and engineering changes.

Pay

The hourly rate for this job is $15.00.
