Job Description

As a Security Officer Patrol Team Associate in Los Angeles, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a government location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and remain visible to help discourage security-related incidents. You will support staff and visitors through strong customer service and communication while bringing our agile, reliable, and innovative approach to every shift, working with integrity and teamwork in a people-first culture.

Must Have

• Clean background
• 1 year of security experience within the last 3 years with an active guard card
• A high school diploma, or GED, or Official transcripts

Minimum Requirements

• Tuberculosis test and MMR vaccinations are required.
• Proof of a high school diploma or GED is required.
• A minimum of 1 year of security-related experience is required.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licenses are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

What You'll Do

• Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and/or members of the public by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, and communicate relevant information to site contacts and/or public agencies as needed.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points and help to control entry and exit activity in accordance with site protocols, while documenting observations, incidents, and/or daily activities in required reports.
• Support order at the location by following post instructions, assisting with directional questions, and reporting maintenance concerns, hazards, and/or policy violations to appropriate personnel.
