Responsibilities

• Provide customer service with a friendly and professional attitude.
• Distinguish between real and counterfeit identification badges.
• Inspect vehicles without incidents or complaints.
• Identify and handle contraband items according to policy.
• Process all employee/vehicle access within five minutes.
• Report security incidents to supervisor.
• Inform supervisor of traffic abnormalities.
• Access security officer systems for Access functions, ID databases, and message boards.
• Handle customer service complaints efficiently.
• Subdue violent or potentially violent individuals as needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma.
• Minimum of two years of facility protection experience.
• Knowledge of post security equipment and procedures.
• Ability to use handcuffs, baton, and firearm.
• Smith Detection Systems Program completion with a minimum score of 70.
• Read and write reports, respond to dispatches/orders.
• Ability to subdue violent individuals and provide emergency first aid/cpr.
• Current Federal background investigation and access.
• Active Federal government security clearance.

• Use of post security equipment (magnetometers, X-rays, CCTV).
• Handcuffing, baton, and firearm use.
• Reading and writing reports.
• First aid/cpr skills.
• Ability to remain alert for extended periods.
• Physical stamina for long shifts.
• Ability to work in various weather conditions.

Schedule and Flexibility

This position requires flexibility to work any day and shift, with no guaranteed schedule.
