Unarmed Security Officer

POSITION OVERVIEW AND PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS)

• Responds to a variety of calls/incidents
• Enforce regulations designed to prevent security breaches
• Respond to alarms, complaints, incidents, violations, and suspicious activities
• Demonstrate the ability to take the appropriate action
• Secure/safeguard crime scenes and preserve evidence
• Perform access/visitor control duties
• Perform crowd control as required
• Perform personnel, vehicular and building facility checks
• First Aid and CPR/AED as required
• Complete all required reports, forms, and other documentation per established procedures
• Staff post as required and provide access control
• Properly vet all employees, trusted partners and daily visitors
• Control access to restricted areas as required
• Report violations
• Direct and provide information to visitors
• Safeguard all assets
• Provide assistance as required
• Escort persons and equipment as needed
• Conduct foot patrols as required
• Monitor unusual situations/conditions through personal or electronic surveillance
• Conducts other assignments in accordance with established SOPs
• Secure all exterior building doors and windows
• Be familiar with "Post Orders" which outline responsibilities such as entrance/exit posts, roving posts, traffic posts, etc.
• Maintain uniform and grooming standards in accordance with company policies

Required Qualifications And Experience

• A high school diploma/GED
• Pursuant to the Government Contract, you must be a U.S. Citizen
• Obtain/maintain a Secret security clearance
• Some college or associate degree preferred
• A valid driver's license
• Familiarity with various Security systems such as: CCTV, access control, vetting tool, emergency notification systems, and mobile security applications
• Ability to pass a Background Investigation
• Ability to pass a Drug Screen
• Ability to pass a Physical Exam
• A driver license and clean driving record
• Fluency in speaking English; read and comprehend written English
• Excellent skill using Microsoft applications and/or Google Drive
• Capable of learning new computer programs and applications
• Successfully complete approximately 40-80 hrs. of company provided training
