About the role
Unarmed Security Officers perform a variety of security-related duties depending on the post.
Responsibilities
- Patrolling and monitoring exterior and community areas on-premises.
- Access control of entrances and exits and departure of employees and visitors.
- Maintaining credentials per contract requirements.
- Performing CPR or first aid when needed.
- Providing detailed reports on daily activities and incidents.
- Using provided communication devices such as two-way radios clearly and concisely.
- Performing other duties as assigned by the Supervisor or Project Manager.
Required Qualifications
- A high school diploma, a General Education Degree (GED) recognized by the U.S.
- An associates degree.
- Two (2) years of verifiable experience as an Unarmed security officer.
- A current and valid Maryland Unarmed Security Guard Card/permit.
- Knowledgeable of the security industry.
- A customer service driven mindset.
- The ability to communicate effectively and present information to all levels of internal and external customers/clients.
Education Requirements
- All candidates must have a High School Diploma/GED Certification.
- All candidates must have an MD Security Guard Certification.
- All candidates must have Unarmed CPR/First Aid certification.
