Unarmed Security Guard - Maryland

About the role

Unarmed Security Officers perform a variety of security-related duties depending on the post. Patrolling and monitoring exterior and community areas on-premises. Access control of entrances and exits and departure of employees and visitors. Monitoring surveillance cameras for any disruptions or unlawful activities.

Responsibilities

• Patrol and monitor exterior and community areas on-premises.
• Access control of entrances and exits and departure of employees and visitors.
• Maintain credentials according to contract requirements.
• Provide detailed reports on daily activities and incidents.
• Communicate using provided communication devices such as two-way radios.
• Perform CPR or first aid when needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Supervisor or Project Manager.

Requirements

• High school diploma, a General Education Degree (GED), or Associates Degree.
• Two (2) years of verifiable experience as an Unarmed security officer.
• A current and valid Maryland Unarmed Security Guard Card/permit.
• Knowledgeable of the security industry.
• A customer service-driven mindset.
• Effective communication skills to interact with all levels of internal and external customers/clients.

Qualifications

• MD Security Guard Certification.
• Unarmed CPR/First Aid certification.
