Unarmed Flex Security Guard

Part-time/on-call unarmed security officer positions in Portland, Oregon. Shifts primarily support weekend operations with additional weekday opportunities in the greater Portland metro area.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the safety and security of customers, employees, and visitors by maintaining a secure environment.
• Conduct foot patrols in designated areas to deter criminal activities and enforce client policies.
• Monitor surveillance systems and alarms to detect and respond to potential security risks.
• Respond promptly to incidents, emergencies, and alarms, ensuring a swift and effective resolution.
• Adhere to post orders, ensuring that proper security procedures are followed for every situation.
• Prepare comprehensive reports detailing security incidents and daily activities.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 18 years of age.
• Oregon DPSST Security license strongly preferred.
• Strong conflict management skills, with the ability to remain calm and effective in challenging situations.
• Ability to work independently and exercise good judgment with minimal supervision.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
• Professional appearance and dependable work ethic.
• Prior security, law enforcement, military, or customer-facing experience is a plus.

Pay

• Licensed Unarmed Guard: $20-22/hour, depending on experience.
