UMMG Staff Physician - Medicine, General Internal Medicine

Summary of Job Responsibilities

Maintain outpatient clinical practice at any of our UHealth ambulatory locations9 half-day sessions per week
Optional clinical activities at Jackson Memorial Hospital including inpatient wards, medical consultation service and ambulatory resident and student clinic.

Qualifications

• Degree as a Medical Doctor or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine
• Active internal medicine certification or eligibility by either the American Board of Internal Medicine or the American Osteopathic Board of Internal Medicine
• Valid unrestricted Florida Medical License or eligible to apply (a valid Florida medical license is required prior to credentialing)

Knowledge, Skills, and Requirements

• Expertise in the diagnosis and treatment of complex illnesses, in health promotion and in disease prevention
• Maintain the educational requirements mandated for state licensing
• Compliance with UHealth policies
• Maintain current BLS and ACLS certification
• Maintain a valid DEA licens
