Ultrasound Technologist (PRN) - Summit Diagnostics Center at Athens

Duties

• Performs ultrasound procedures on all scheduled patients safely and accurately.
• Follows imaging protocols to assure consistent and accurate test results.
• Treats patients in a professional and pleasant manner while attending to their needs and maximizing their level of comfort.
• Adheres to established policies and procedures, including OSHA and the corporate compliance plan.
• Adjusts to varying workflow as needed; requests assistance from co-workers and/or supervisor as appropriate.
• Maintains ultrasound equipment.
• Orders and stocks all supplies, as requested by supervisor.
• Notifies supervisor in a timely manner regarding any challenges with equipment.
• Maintains appropriate logs, card files, film folders, test results, etc., in an orderly fashion.
• Affords assistance in other areas during idle times in assigned areas.
• Performs all duties while exhibiting a courteous and cooperative manner to all coworkers, management, and the public.
• Maintains CPR certification and all certifications/continuing education required and appropriate for position.
• Demonstrates current competencies related to job position.
• Maintains strict confidentiality.
• Actively participates in site-level Quality Improvement Activities.

Requirements

• Education: High school graduate or equivalent; completion of all required courses in ultrasound technology.
• Experience: Two years’ experience in ultrasound preferred in general and vascular.
• Certification/License: ARDMS certification required.
