Ultrasound Technologist - PRN - Freeman Bentonville Hospital

What You'll Do

• Performs ultrasonic examinations for subsequent evaluation and treatment by attending physician.
• Performs a variety of technical procedures requiring independent judgment, ingenuity, and initiative in applying ultrasound techniques for radiologic diagnosis.
• Ensures the safety and comfort of all patients undergoing ultrasound procedures.
• Verifies that all procedures have been appropriately ordered with satisfactory patient identification obtained prior to conducting the procedure.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited radiologic sciences or ultrasound technology program.
• Clinical experience acquired through the completion of radiologic sciences program.
• ARDMS/CCI certified or graduate of a program accredited by an agency recognized by CHEA, USDOE or CMA that specifically conducts programmatic accreditation for diagnostic medical sonography/diagnostic cardiac sonography/vascular technology and eligible for registry.
• Current BLS or acquired within the first 7 days of employment.
• Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) within 90 days of employment.

Preferred Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited radiologic sciences program with a B.S.
• Completion of advanced modality program(s).
• Two years experience as a ultrasonographer in an acute care hospital setting.
