About the role
Perform ultrasound procedures to assist in diagnosing diseases or conditions, including vascular exams.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate patients and explain procedures
- Ensure patient comfort and safety during exams
- Obtain and document ultrasound images
- Relay findings to physicians
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives, education, and departmental audits
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited ultrasonography program
- ARDMS or ARRT certification
- One year of experience preferred
- Proficiency in ultrasound technology and clinical competency across all age groups
- Adherence to ethical standards
Skills
- Strong communication and critical thinking
- Ability to work independently
- Adaptability and customer service orientation
- Knowledge of ultrasound modalities, anatomy, and medical record systems preferred
Training & Certifications
- Certification in ultrasound (ARDMS or ARRT)
- Advanced modality registration preferred or to be obtained within 2 years
- Experience with electronic health records (EHR) and PACS systems is advantageous
