Ultrasound Technologist *Per Diem* - Providence Valdez

About the role

Per Diem, 0.01 FTE, Day Shift, Hours are as needed. Located onsite at Providence Valdez Medical Center in Valdez, Alaska!

Responsibilities

• Performs all the essential functions of the Registered Sonographer.
• Performs and evaluates sonographic examinations.
• Obtains clinical history and performs a physical assessment of the patient's condition to determine appropriate testing protocol.
• Provides a technical interpretation of sonographic and physiologic data to aid physicians in rendering a medical diagnosis.

Requirements

• Graduate of accredited Diagnostic Sonography Program or Certification with American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography.
• National Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer within 1 year of hire.
• National Provider BLS - American Heart Association within 30 days of hire.
• 9 months - Ultrasound coursework experience in Abdomen, OB/Gyn including clinical rotation.

Qualifications

• 9 months - Ultrasound coursework experience in Abdomen, OB/Gyn including clinical rotation.
• Preferred: 9 months - Ultrasound coursework experience in Breast, Vascular including clinical rotation.

Pay

$48.79 - $75.74 per hour. Additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
