About the role
Under the direction of a Radiologist, specializes in the performance of diagnostic ultrasound procedures to aid in the evaluation of pathological entities as prescribed by a physician. Performs related functions according to department protocols.
Responsibilities
- Determines appropriate imaging techniques, patient positioning, and safety practices with independent judgment.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or G.E.D. equivalent is required.
- Registered with the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS), or eligible candidate to sit for an ARDMS examination.
- If eligible candidate, must complete SPI, Abdomen, and OB/GYN ARDMS examinations within 12 months of date of hire.
- Maintains required hours of continued medical education.
- Healthcare Provider certification required (BCLS).
Qualifications
