About the role

The Ultrasound Technologist performs diagnostic ultrasound studies, including Level 1 ultrasounds and Doppler scans, with preferred competency in Level 2 obstetrical ultrasounds and NT certification. New hires without Level 2 experience or NT certification are expected to achieve competency within six months. The role involves assessing ultrasound findings, assisting physicians in interpretation, maintaining records, and coordinating quality assurance activities such as equipment cleaning and maintenance. Flexibility to work at offsite locations with prior notice is required, primarily at PDC Providence.

Responsibilities

  • Performing clinical care and assessments across patient populations
  • Conducting various diagnostic ultrasound procedures
  • Maintaining workstations and equipment
  • Greeting patients and verifying identification
  • Assisting with supply ordering
  • Supporting professional growth and protecting patient confidentiality
  • Performing additional job-related duties as needed

Requirements

  • Completion of a one- or two-year program or certified training, with ARDMS registration and OBGYN certification
  • Proficiency in scanning pregnant women in all trimesters, including Level 2 scans and NT certification (training within six months for new hires)
  • Strong English language skills
