Responsibilities
- Rotate to Nassau and Suffolk offices, including Lynbrook, Freeport, Merrick, Plainview, Levittown, Bay Shore, and East Islip.
- Perform high-quality ultrasound procedures in strict accordance with department policy and procedure manuals, complying with all applicable federal, state, local, and other regulatory requirements.
- Assist radiologists with ultrasound-guided biopsies and procedures as needed.
- Understand the methods used to generate ultrasound data and the theory and operation of instruments that detect, display, and store acoustic information in clinical examinations.
- Monitor patient well-being during exams; recognize patient discomfort or medical problems and take appropriate action.
- Demonstrate competency in safeguarding patient property and Patient Health Information.
- Safeguard on-site medications in accordance with company policies, procedures, and legal requirements.
- Demonstrate respect for company property, including cash and patient financial information on-site or on patient portals.
- Exhibit and maintain professional behavior toward patients and coworkers, being responsive to the needs of others.
- Demonstrate respect for patient boundaries and cultural sensitivities during all interactions.
- Interact diplomatically and sympathetically with patients, their families, and the public in a clinical setting.
- Establish, nurture, and maintain cooperative working relationships.
Requirements
- Completed Ultrasound Technologist program with diploma.
- Passed SPI exam.
- Current ARDMS certifications or ARDMS Registry Eligible (preferred).
- BLS certification.
- Passion for patient care and sound judgment in all situations.
- Effective and professional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Structured work approach with the ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment.

Pay
$36.00 - $50.00 per hour.
