Responsibilities

  • Perform high quality ultrasound procedures in strict accordance with department policy and procedure manuals.
  • Comply with all applicable federal, state, local and other regulatory requirements.
  • Absorb and apply the methods used to generate ultrasound data and the theory and operation of ultrasound instruments.
  • Maintain patient well-being during exams; recognize and address patient discomfort or medical problems.
  • Safeguard patient property and Patient Health Information according to company policies.
  • Safeguard on-site medications in accordance with company policies and legal requirements.
  • Show respect for company property, including cash and patient financial information.
  • Respond to the needs of others by exhibiting and maintaining professional behavior.
  • Interact diplomatically and sympathetically with patients, their families, and the public in a clinical setting.
  • Establish, nurture, and maintain cooperative working relationships.

Qualifications

  • Completed Ultrasound Technologist program with diploma.
  • Passed SPI exam.
  • Hold current ARDMS certifications or be ARDMS Registry Eligible.
  • Hold BLS certification.
