Responsibilities
- Perform high quality ultrasound procedures in strict accordance with department policy and procedure manuals.
- Comply with all applicable federal, state, local and other regulatory requirements.
- Absorb and apply the methods used to generate ultrasound data and the theory and operation of ultrasound instruments.
- Maintain patient well-being during exams; recognize and address patient discomfort or medical problems.
- Safeguard patient property and Patient Health Information according to company policies.
- Safeguard on-site medications in accordance with company policies and legal requirements.
- Show respect for company property, including cash and patient financial information.
- Respond to the needs of others by exhibiting and maintaining professional behavior.
- Interact diplomatically and sympathetically with patients, their families, and the public in a clinical setting.
- Establish, nurture, and maintain cooperative working relationships.
Qualifications
- Completed Ultrasound Technologist program with diploma.
- Passed SPI exam.
- Hold current ARDMS certifications or be ARDMS Registry Eligible.
- Hold BLS certification.
