Ultrasound Tech, PT, Evenings

Responsibilities

• Operates ultrasound equipment to perform clinical diagnostic ultrasound exams and routine invasive procedures according to established standards and practices.
• Provides patient services utilizing ultrasound equipment.
• Demonstrates knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy and pathology.
• Provides patient care to all age groups to include neonatal, pediatrics, adult, and geriatrics.
• Communicates effectively with staff and radiologists.

Qualifications

• Education: Graduate of an approved CAAHEP Diagnostic Medical Sonography Program or an approved Sonography Program by the ARRT.
• Required or Work Experience: No experience required.
• Required Licenses and Certifications: BCLS - Basic Life Support upon hire, ARDMS - Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonography must be obtained within 180 days, ARDMS or ARRT - Breast Sonography - Breast licensure requirement for Breast Ultrasound can be met with registration through ARRT (BS), RVT - Registered Vascular Technologist preferred, RVS - Registered Vascular Sonographer preferred, RVT - Registered Vascular Sonographer preferred, BR - ARDMS or ARRT - Breast Sonography - Breast licensure requirement for Breast Ultrasound can be met with registration through ARRT (BS).
