About the role

The Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (Ultrasound Technologist) is a clinical position that provides diagnostic patient care services using ultrasound and related diagnostic procedures.

Responsibilities

• Independent operation of sonographic equipment
• Performing and communicating results of diagnostic examinations using sonography
• Daily operations of the sonographic laboratory, including patient schedule, equipment maintenance, reporting of equipment failures, and quality assessment
• Collaborate with all members of the healthcare team to support a patient-centered culture and enhance the quality of patient services provided at WMRMC
• Exercise independent judgement in applying professional knowledge to plan, prioritize, and organize responsibilities in support of the clinical department

Requirements

• Graduation from a formal Diagnostic Medical Sonography Program or Cardiovascular Technology Program accredited by CAAHEP
• Three (3) years ultrasound experience
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days of hire
