Ultrasound Student - Ultrasound - Per Diem

About the role

Our Ultrasound department prides itself on a collaborative learning environment that serves our patients and community. Staff can rotate between the hospital and other ultrasound departments based on their skills and interests.

Responsibilities

• Produces high-quality diagnostic images for Radiologist Interpretation
• Works as part of a team on most shifts and locations
• Performs various exams including invasive procedures, OR cases, general abdominal and small parts, OB/GYN, MSK, liver elastography, pediatric, neurology, breast, and vascular exams

Requirements

• Enrollment in an accredited (CAAHEP) educational Sonography program recognized by the ARDMS
• Second year in an accredited (CAAHEP) educational Sonography program recognized by the ARDMS (preferred)
• Ability to obtain BLS qualification during orientation period and maintain during employment

Qualifications

• Independent, professional, ethical judgment and critical thinking

Skills

• Knowledge of SDMS and Practice Standards of the SDMS Code of Ethics
• Effective communication with patients, licensed practitioners, and support team members
• Adherence to departmental exam protocols
