Per Diem - Technician Ultrasound

About the role

Performs routine sonographic exams in either an inpatient and/or outpatient setting, adhering to established protocols for positioning, image quality, and ALARA principles. Utilizes specialized equipment and computer software to enter patient information into hospital databases.

Responsibilities

• Produces sonographic images using a variety of specialized equipment

Requirements

• Accredited program in Cardiac Sonography or an Associate's degree in Ultrasound technology with a certificate from an accredited school
• At least one to two years of experience, including program and clinical externships in related fields
• ARDMS (American Registry of Diagnostic Sonographers) registry required at time of hire or within 12 months of hire
• Certified Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) registry required at time of hire or within 12 months of hire
• Knowledge of cardiac sonography principles and in-depth experience in the field
• Ability to explain clinical, technical, and diagnostic procedures to patients and their families

Pay

Salary range provided to comply with New Jersey Law. The rate of pay for each position will be determined based on a variety of factors including the candidate's relevant experience, qualifications, skills, etc.
