Ultrasound Sonographer (RDMS)

Role Overview

The Full-Time Breast Sonographer (RDMS) performs ultrasound imaging, including breast, abdominal, small parts, and obstetric exams, to assist in diagnosis and treatment. They may also conduct vascular imaging and assist with needle procedures such as biopsies and drainages.

Responsibilities

• Ensure all equipment functions properly and is ready for use.
• Perform ultrasound examinations independently, document procedures thoroughly, and adapt to various work settings, including on-call and portable exams.

Qualifications & Skills

• Required: RDMS or equivalent certification.
• Preferred: Breast sonography with x-ray (highly preferred), mammography, and breast ultrasound experience.
• Minimum education: Associate degree or trade school equivalent.
• Licenses & Certifications: RDMS or equivalent; CPR and RDCS or equivalent preferred for higher experience levels.
• No prior experience required; however, two years of experience and additional certifications are advantageous.
