Ultrasound Maternal Fetal Medicine Technologist - FT - Days - $10k Sign on Bonus - MHM

About the role

This office Sonographer performs diagnostic maternal fetal medicine sonography in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice and with the policies, values, and mission of the organization.

Responsibilities

• Implements safety standards with low as reasonably achievable (ALARA) principle and performs appropriate quality control procedures on equipment.
• Troubleshoots, resolves, and/or reports equipment malfunctions as necessary.
• Demonstrates knowledge of the healthcare system's and MFM division's electronic medical records and ultrasound reporting system.
• Selects appropriate imaging parameters, modes and techniques to identify, investigate, evaluate and document pertinent anatomical, pathological and functional data.
• Prepares office and ultrasound equipment and supplies; and coordinates office and ultrasound equipment and reporting system service, maintenance, and upgrades for quality assurance.
• Prepares and maintains written documentation as required by the profession and the department.
• Actively participates with team in designing and implementation of policies and procedures.
• Positions patient and performs imaging procedure(s).
• Analyzes images and identifies issues with the quality of images.
• Takes appropriate action to resolve image quality issues, including repositioning patient and repeating procedure if clinically appropriate.
• Performs routine and advanced diagnostic ultrasound procedures at an advanced specialist skill level.
• Reviews patient history and physician's orders.
• Educates patient regarding procedures, equipment, and exam to ensure patient's understanding and decision making.
• Affords assistance in ultrasound guided procedures and the collection of specimen for analysis and routing to the designated laboratory for analysis.
• Actively reports to MFM physician anomalies found in scan and obtains follow up images to complete evaluation of conditions noted.
• Fulfills established protocols for fetal evaluation and diagnosis.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or Equivalent: Ultrasound Technologist (Required)
• American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS)
• BLS American Heart E-Card (BLS AHA ECARD)
• BLS Cert American Heart_non ecard (BLS AHA)
• BLS Cert Red Cross (BLS RC)
• Nasal Bone (NB) Certification
• Cervical Length Education and Review (CLEAR) certification
• Education and Review (CLEAR) certification
• Additional certifications as listed in the "Required Work Experience" section.

Qualifications

• One (1) year of OBGYN sonography experience required.
• Experience in a Maternal Fetal Medicine (MFM) practice preferred.
