About the Role
The Imaging Student Extern delivers high-quality, patient-centered care by performing a variety of delegated basic patient care skills while gaining practical experience and knowledge in imaging principles. Under the supervision of a Registered Radiologic Technologist, the Imaging Student Extern prepares for and assists with imaging procedures, in accordance with the Extern’s skills/training and the needs of the Department. The role is designed for students currently enrolled and in good standing in an accredited school of radiography, with the ability to perform higher-level procedures once competency is achieved.
Qualifications
- Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
- Currently enrolled and in good standing in an accredited school of Radiology
- Preference given to students who have completed their 1st year of the Radiology program
