About the role

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operations of the Ultrasound modality, including staffing assignments, patient scheduling, and patient flow.
• Monitor and ensure quality assurance activities.
• Serve as the lead technical expert for the Ultrasound modality and perform technologist duties.
• Train department personnel on Ultrasound equipment and procedures.
• Assist in the clinical education of radiologic technology students and support interdepartmental services.
• Assess and provide care appropriate for patients of all ages.
• Assist the director with staff selection, orientation, evaluations, and ongoing development of team members in the assigned modality.

Requirements

• American Red Cross or American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS or BCLS) certification.
• Registered with the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS).
• Supervisory or lead technologist experience is preferred.
