Wage Range

$48.66 – $77.84 per hour (posted range represents the minimum of the lowest level and the maximum of the highest level; additional premiums may apply based on shift, certifications, or degrees. Offers are determined by years of relevant experience, level of education, and internal equity.)

Job Summary

Performs both obstetrical and gynecological ultrasound examinations, including biometry and anatomy surveys. Works collaboratively and under the direction of Board‑Certified Obstetrician/Gynecologists and Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioners.

Primary Duties

• Performs ultrasound examinations of patients.
• Assists with ultrasound‑guidance during in‑office procedures as needed and requested by providers, including sonohysterograms, Essure, Novasure, and IUD placements.
• Promotes good public relations between patients, family members, clinic, hospital, and community by fostering a friendly, positive, encouraging, sympathetic atmosphere.
• Communicates to patients constantly, in lay language, on the status of the examination/procedure, always maintaining the patient’s confidence.
• May provide portable examinations at bedside as requested by attending physicians.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

License, Certification, Education or Experience

• Successful completion of a two‑year certified sonographer course (required).
• ARDMS‑certified in obstetrics and gynecology within two years of hire (required).
• Current Healthcare Provider BLS certification by date of hire (required).
• ARDMS‑certified in obstetrics and gynecology (desired).
• 1 year of experience in an ultrasound setting (desired).
• 6 months experience in OB and GYN ultrasound (desired).
• 1st Trimester Nuchal Translucency Certified (desired).
