Ultrasonographer-Clinic

About the role

Performs both obstetrical and gynecological ultrasound examination including the biometry and anatomy survey. Works collaboratively and under the direction of Board-Certified Obstetrician/Gynecologists and Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioners.

Responsibilities

• Performs ultrasound examinations of patients.
• Assists with ultrasound-guidance during in-office procedures as needed and requested by providers (e.g., Sonohysterograms, Essure, Novasure, IUD placements).
• Promotes good public relations between patients, family members, clinic, hospital, and community by fostering a friendly, positive, encouraging, sympathetic atmosphere.
• Communicates to patient constantly, in lay language, on the status of the examination/procedure, always maintaining patient's confidence.
• May provide portable examinations at bedside as requested by attending physicians.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Required: Successful completion of two-year certified sonographer course; ARDMS-certified in obstetrics and gynecology within two years of hire; Current Healthcare Provider BLS certification by date of hire.

Desired: ARDMS-certified in obstetrics and gynecology; 1 year of experience in ultrasound setting; 6 months experience in OB and GYN ultrasound; 1st Trimester Nuchal Translucency Certified.

Pay

Wage Range: $48.66 - $77.84 per hour.
