About the Organization

Corewell Health Dearborn Hospital has proudly served residents across Southeast Michigan since 1953. With 632 beds, it is a major teaching and research hospital and home to five residency programs and a cardiology fellowship in partnership with Wayne State University School of Medicine. The hospital is verified as a Level II trauma center and accredited by the Joint Commission as a primary stroke center. It is known for clinical excellence and innovation in orthopedics, neurosciences, women’s health, heart and vascular, and cancer care.

About the Role

Under site-designated leadership and according to established policies and procedures, performs accurate and efficient ultrasound exams utilizing appropriate imaging equipment, independent judgment, ingenuity, and initiative. Technologists must demonstrate strong clinical skills and provide the best possible images for interpretation while following Corewell Health’s philosophy of Patient and Family Centered Care.

Requirements

• Associate's degree or equivalent, or graduate of a Diagnostic Ultrasound Program.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross (ARC) upon hire.
• One of the following certifications with 1 year of experience:
  • ARDMS Sonographer (S) – excludes Cardiac
  • ARDMS Breast Sonographer (BS) – excludes Cardiac, General, Vascular
  • ARDMS Abdomen (AB) – excludes Cardiac and Vascular
  • ARDMS Ob/Gyn (OB) – excludes Cardiac and Vascular
  • ARDMS Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS)
  • Cardiac Sonographer, Registered (RCS)
• ARDMS Vascular Technologist (VT) certification required within 1 year of hire for the Vascular Department.

Schedule

• Shift: Evening (3:00 p.m. to 11:30 p.m.)
• Hours: 40 hours per week
• Days Worked: Monday to Friday
• Weekend Frequency: Every other weekend
