About the role
The Uintah County Office of Utah State University Extension is seeking a qualified individual to assist in coordinating countywide youth programs as part of the county 4-H team. This is a full-time benefited position reporting to Uintah County Extension Faculty.
Responsibilities
- Recruit and support volunteers and teen leaders to help lead 4-H clubs and events.
- Provide engaging educational experiences.
- Promote the principles of positive youth development through 4-H programming.
- Include some direct programming with youth.
- Build community partnerships and expand program opportunities.
- Lead and advise local 4-H groups in managing funds that support youth programming.
- Provide trainings and support for adult volunteers.
Qualifications
- Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in a related field, associate degree plus two years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, excellent organizational skills, and basic computer skills (Word, Excel, Internet, Zoom, etc.).
- Desire to work with volunteers and youth leaders.
- Valid driver’s license to perform essential job responsibilities, such as driving university vehicles and transporting materials.
- Experience with 4-H or other youth serving organizations.
- Experience with recruiting, supervising, and working with volunteers.
- Knowledge of the Land Grant University system.
- Prior experience with community programming.

- Working nights and weekends.
- Traveling throughout the area of responsibility, occasionally statewide.
- Strong organizational, time, and project management skills.
