About the role

Inadev is seeking a talented Junior UI/UX & Visual Designer to join our dynamic team. This role involves shaping the visual identity and UI/UX strategy across a diverse portfolio of federal and commercial projects. The ideal candidate will work on innovative design initiatives, including emerging technologies such as identity intelligence, immersive tech, AI/ML, virtualization, augmented reality, and digital transformation. Candidates outside the DC/MD/VA metro area may work fully remote, while local candidates should be open to a hybrid schedule based in Reston, VA.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2+ years of professional UI/UX and Visual Design experience
  • Expert-level proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite and Figma
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating human-centered design (HCD) principles
  • Experience working within Agile frameworks
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to create accurate time estimates for tasks
  • Proven ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams including designers, developers, and stakeholders
  • Experience designing for multiple platforms and screen sizes
  • U.S. citizenship and ability to pass a 7-year background check
  • Reside within the Continental United States
  • Open to working during Eastern Standard Time business hours

Responsibilities

  • Lead visual design and develop UI/UX strategies aligned with project goals and user needs
  • Ideate and craft solutions that address stakeholder and user requirements
  • Design iterative prototypes and detailed wireframes to facilitate user testing and feedback
  • Create responsive designs adaptable across various platforms and devices
  • Develop personas, user journey maps, and content flows to enhance user experience
  • Maintain organized version control and comprehensive documentation, including design guides and libraries
  • Present design concepts and solutions effectively to team members, clients, and stakeholders
  • Deliver high-quality design artifacts suitable for development and project execution
  • Stay current with the latest UX trends, tools, and best practices
  • Collaborate closely with UX teams, developers, and stakeholders, employing Human Centered Design principles
  • Participate actively in Agile ceremonies, contributing to sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives
  • Work with the team to accurately capture user stories and acceptance criteria
  • Engage in business-to-technical translation to communicate effectively with non-technical stakeholders
  • Manage multiple priorities efficiently and adapt to shifting project demands
