UI/UX Developer

About the role

Bespoke Technologies is seeking a highly experienced and motivated Senior UI/UX Developer for an exciting new contract. The Senior UI/UX Developer will be part of a team of Application, Data, Cloud, and Security engineers delivering a cloud-native, centralized platform that provides end-to-end budget traceability.

Responsibilities

• Own the user experience for applications, turning workflows and data into intuitive, accessible interfaces and customer-ready mockups.
• Lead the design of intuitive, user-centered interfaces for enterprise or mission applications, from discovery through implementation.
• Create and present customer-facing wireframes, user flows, clickable prototypes, high-fidelity mockups, and design recommendations to gather feedback and drive design decisions.
• Develop production user interfaces with JavaScript, React, and Python.
• Build responsive, accessible, and maintainable web applications using modern HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React component libraries, and API-driven front-end patterns.
• Translate customer workflows, business requirements, and complex data into clear information architectures, interaction designs, dashboards, and visualizations.
• Conduct or support user research, usability testing, stakeholder interviews, and iterative design reviews.
• Integrate front-end applications with REST APIs, authentication and authorization services.
• Document design rationale, usability findings, and implementation guidance; communicate technical concepts effectively to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Participate in Agile framework activities such as planning, backlog refinement, demos, and sprint reviews.

Requirements

• Minimum 8+ years of experience in UI/UX design, front-end development, product design, or related application development disciplines.
• Demonstrated ability to lead the design of intuitive, user-centered interfaces for enterprise or mission applications, from discovery through implementation.
• Strong experience building responsive, accessible, and maintainable web applications using modern HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React component libraries, and API-driven front-end patterns.
• Experience translating customer workflows, business requirements, and complex data into clear information architectures, interaction designs, dashboards, and visualizations.
• Experience conducting or supporting user research, usability testing, stakeholder interviews, and iterative design reviews.
• Experience integrating front-end applications with REST APIs, authentication and authorization services.
• Ability to document design rationale, usability findings, and implementation guidance; communicate technical concepts effectively to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Experience working in an Agile framework and participating in planning, backlog refinement, demos, and sprint reviews.

Qualifications

• Minimum 8+ years of experience relevant to this position.
• Bachelor’s Degree in engineering, computer science or related technical discipline. Master’s degree preferred.
