About the role
We are seeking a Senior UI/UX Designer to take ownership of the experience layer across our digital product suite. This fully remote position is open to candidates located anywhere in the U.S.
Responsibilities
- Own the end-to-end design process for Consertus’ digital products, from initial research and concept validation to high-fidelity UI, prototyping, and engineering handoff
- Design interaction layers for AI-powered features, including conversational interfaces, exception workflows, confidence indicators, and trust-building patterns
- Collaborate seamlessly with a fast-paced engineering team utilizing AI tools, ensuring design intent is accurately translated into functional outputs
- Leverage AI-native design workflows, including generative tools and AI-assisted prototyping, to accelerate delivery and foster innovation
- Set and uphold high-quality standards across multiple product surfaces, maintaining consistency and user delight amidst rapid development cycles
- Conduct user research to understand the needs, pain points, and workflows of capital program managers, project controls professionals, and owners’ representatives
- Advocate for the user perspective in all discussions, from sprint planning to architectural decisions, and challenge subpar solutions
- Build and maintain a scalable design system that accommodates the flexibility required across different product surfaces
- Allocate approximately 80–85% of your time to hands-on design work, with the remainder dedicated to research, design system stewardship, and collaboration
Qualifications
- 7–10+ years of product design experience with a strong portfolio demonstrating end-to-end ownership and refined taste
- Proficiency in AI-native design workflows, including generative prototyping, AI-assisted research, and design exploration
- Experience simplifying complex, data-heavy workflows into intuitive user interfaces
- Deep understanding of complex business systems such as approval chains, audit trails, and compliance frameworks
- Proven track record of shipping production-quality software
- Strong product thinking—rethinking user experiences beyond aesthetics to strategic value
- Proficiency in Figma and modern design tools
- Experience working closely with engineering teams through implementation phases
- Bachelor’s degree in Interaction Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Visual/Communication Design, or equivalent practical experience
