UI Developer – React

About the Role

We are looking for a talented UI Developer with strong React experience to join our development team in San Leandro, California. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience building responsive, scalable, and user-friendly web applications using React.js, JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML5, and CSS3. You will work closely with UX/UI designers, backend developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to deliver high-quality web applications and engaging user experiences.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain responsive web applications using React.js.
• Build reusable and scalable UI components and front-end architectures.
• Translate UI/UX designs and wireframes into high-quality, production-ready code.
• Develop responsive layouts using HTML5, CSS3, Flexbox, Grid, and modern CSS frameworks.
• Work with JavaScript/TypeScript, React Hooks, Context API, and state-management solutions.
• Integrate front-end applications with RESTful APIs and backend services.
• Optimize applications for performance, scalability, accessibility, and cross-browser compatibility.
• Write clean, maintainable, and reusable code following front-end development best practices.
• Participate in code reviews, debugging, testing, and production support.
• Collaborate with designers and backend developers to resolve technical and UI-related issues.
• Stay current with modern front-end technologies, React ecosystem updates, and industry best practices.

Requirements

• 3+ years of professional experience in UI/Front-End development.
• Strong hands-on experience with React.js.
• Strong knowledge of JavaScript (ES6+) and/or TypeScript.
• Proficiency with HTML5 and CSS3.
• Experience developing responsive and mobile-friendly web applications.
• Experience consuming and integrating REST APIs.
• Knowledge of React Hooks, component lifecycle, and reusable component design.
• Familiarity with Git and modern software development workflows.
• Good understanding of browser compatibility, web performance, and accessibility.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Redux, Redux Toolkit, Context API, or other state-management libraries.
• Experience with Next.js.
• Familiarity with Material UI, Bootstrap, Tailwind CSS, or similar UI frameworks.
• Experience with Jest, React Testing Library, Cypress, or other testing frameworks.
• Understanding of CI/CD and Agile/Scrum development methodologies.
• Experience working with design tools such as Figma or Adobe XD.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred.
