Responsibilities
- Performs progressive, isochronal, phase, periodic, and other hourly or calendar scheduled inspections according to all applicable technical publications and regulations.
- Repairs and maintains aircraft systems and subsystems, to include the lubrication of required components and the removal and installation of aircraft subsystems, using special tools and equipment as required.
- Completes diagnostics and troubleshoots malfunctions in aircraft subsystems; maintains aircraft technical publications, historical forms, and records relative to aircraft maintenance.
- Removes and installs aircraft subsystem assemblies and components such as engines, rotors, transmissions, mechanical flight controls and their components.
- Inspects jet engine turbine blades to detect cracks, distortion, corrosion, burn-out, security, or breaks, tests engine operation.
- Reads and understands mechanical manuals and schematics and reads and interprets all instruments.
- Utilizes AMSS to manage aircraft use and operations, maintenance, and repair operations and to maintain aircraft to the Army standard.
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 2-4 years of UH-60 Mechanic experience required
- UH-60 (15T) course graduate required
- A/P certification preferred
- Required to climb, stand, stoop, bend, stretch, crouch and work in tiring and uncomfortable positions.
- Frequently lifts parts and equipment up to 20 pounds.
- Occasionally lifts objects up to 50 pounds.
- Must pass pre-employment qualifications of Cherokee Federal.

Pay
Estimated Starting Salary Range for UH-60 Black Hawk Mechanic I: $29.00 - $31.00 Pay commensurate with experience.
