UH-60 Black Hawk Mechanic I

Responsibilities

• Performs progressive, isochronal, phase, periodic, and other hourly or calendar scheduled inspections according to all applicable technical publications and regulations.
• Repairs and maintains aircraft systems and subsystems, to include the lubrication of required components and the removal and installation of aircraft subsystems, using special tools and equipment as required.
• Completes diagnostics and troubleshoots malfunctions in aircraft subsystems; maintains aircraft technical publications, historical forms, and records relative to aircraft maintenance.
• Removes and installs aircraft subsystem assemblies and components such as engines, rotors, transmissions, mechanical flight controls and their components.
• Inspects jet engine turbine blades to detect cracks, distortion, corrosion, burn-out, security, or breaks, tests engine operation.
• Reads and understands mechanical manuals and schematics and reads and interprets all instruments.
• Utilizes AMSS to manage aircraft use and operations, maintenance, and repair operations and to maintain aircraft to the Army standard.
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• 2-4 years of UH-60 Mechanic experience required
• UH-60 (15T) course graduate required
• A/P certification preferred
• Required to climb, stand, stoop, bend, stretch, crouch and work in tiring and uncomfortable positions.
• Frequently lifts parts and equipment up to 20 pounds.
• Occasionally lifts objects up to 50 pounds.
• Must pass pre-employment qualifications of Cherokee Federal.

Pay

Estimated Starting Salary Range for UH-60 Black Hawk Mechanic I: $29.00 - $31.00 Pay commensurate with experience.
