U.S. Rebuild Worker - Cooks and Skilled Trades Worker
About the role
The Samaritan's Purse Rebuild program is committed to meeting the critical needs of victims of natural disasters who need their homes repaired or rebuilt. We step in to offer support and assistance with our team of skilled workers. The Rebuild team specializes in constructing and providing shelter while sharing the Good News of Jesus Christ. When disaster relief efforts have concluded, our U.S. Rebuild team remains at disaster sites to provide ongoing support to families.
Responsibilities
- Flexible schedule and availability to deploy with little notice.
- Deploy to harsh locations with challenging living conditions.
- Work long and hard days.
- Be the first on the ground to serve and help those who have suffered through a catastrophic event in the name of Jesus Christ.
Requirements
- Maintain a personal relationship with Jesus Christ; be a consistent witness for Jesus Christ.
- 2-5 years proven work experience in applicable career field(s).
- Bachelor’s degree from 4-year college or university or technical training in specific field preferred.
- Able to work as a member of a team.
- Demonstrated volunteer or work experience on construction sites.
- Willingness to work in unstable, insecure areas.
Qualifications
- Fluency in English.

Skills
- None specifically listed, but a combination of culinary arts, construction, and heavy equipment operation skills are required.

Pay
Pay is activated when deployed to a job site.
Schedule
Intermittent (On-Call), 1-6 weeks per deployment, 5 days/week, 1-2 times a year.
