About the role
Elzly Technology Corporation (Elzly) is recruiting experienced coating inspectors in various locations including Norfolk, VA; Mayport, FL; San Diego, CA; Everett, WA; Pearl Harbor, HI; and Japan/Pacific Oceana. Candidates willing to travel or temporarily relocate to these locations may also be considered. Elzly provides technical services for corrosion prevention and control, including field investigations, material research and testing, training materials development, and specification development.
Responsibilities
- Mitigate corrosion control issues and identify solutions.
- Understand technical requirements for shipboard HM&E and/or C5I systems and equipment.
- Use surface preparation tools, corrosion control techniques, and apply coating systems on U.S. Navy ships or in the marine industry.
- Work with and understand constraints associated with shipboard organizational level corrosion control and preservation maintenance.
- Oversee and provide quality control for corrosion control work.
- Interface with government, shipyard, and contractor corrosion control maintenance activities.
- Work with US Navy ship leadership, ship personnel, and program leadership.
- Provide corrosion prevention and control trade experience.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- One of the following: related military experience, completion of trade/industrial school, or trade experience.
- Association for Materials Protection and Performance (AMPP) Basic Coating Inspector certification with a willingness/ability to obtain AMPP Certified and Senior Certified Coatings Inspector levels.
