Tyler Union, a division of McWane, Inc. located in Anniston, Alabama, has a century of success in manufacturing and selling ductile iron fittings, joint restraints, and valve boxes for the waterworks industry.
About the role
This is an hourly position with outstanding benefits offerings, vacation, and holiday pay. All newly hired hourly workers must have satisfactory performance and attendance to satisfy all requirements of the mandatory 480-hour probationary period.
All candidates offered employment must submit to a drug screen, physical, and background check.
Responsibilities
- Follow all processes and procedures associated with the Tyler Union Safety Management Program. Advise management of any deviations from this program.
- Operate machinery used in the production process or assist machine operators.
- Examine products to verify conformance to quality standards.
- Observe equipment operations so that malfunctions can be detected and notify operators of any malfunctions.
- Lift raw materials, finished products, and packed items manually or using hoists.
- Count finished products to determine if product orders are complete.
- Mark or tag identification on parts.
- Load and unload items from machines, conveyors, and conveyances.
- Help production workers perform duties of lesser skill, such as supplying or holding materials or tools or cleaning work areas and equipment.
- Use appropriate tools to finish castings based on quality specifications.
- Clean and lubricate equipment.
- Record information, such as the number of products tested, meter readings, or dates and times of product production.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED certificate (preferred).
- One (1) to three (3) years of related on-the-job experience required.
- Previous work experience in a foundry or heavy manufacturing environment preferred.

Physical Requirements

Pay
Lining & Coating Utility pay rate is $23.73 per hour.
