Two Way Immersion Teacher

Job Description

Plan and implement instructional program for a Two-Way Immersion class. Assess student needs and performance, give instruction, and report progress to parents.

This position requires a commitment to fostering a supportive learning environment for all students. The successful candidate will demonstrate a dedication to ensuring all students have the opportunity to succeed, recognizing and addressing barriers to academic achievement.

Qualifications

• Valid Oregon Elementary Teaching License, with an ESOL/Bilingual endorsement.
• Ability to meet job description requirements and district standards for teachers.
• Bilingual in Spanish and English.

Physical Demands

• Ability to communicate with students, co-workers, and the public.
• Ability to communicate over the telephone.
• Ability to respond to telephone, bells, students, co-workers, etc.
• Ability to respond to classroom disturbances, visual cues, student requests, etc.
• Ability to operate office equipment.
• Ability to carry or lift light loads (25 lbs).

Compensation & Benefits

• 190-day per year contract
• 6 paid holidays per year
• $49,407 to $98,197, DOE and education
