About the role

Dual Immersion Educational Assistant supporting K‑2 dual language classrooms at Los Lagos Bilingual Academy.

Responsibilities

• Mainly working in K‑2 Dual Language classrooms
• Lead and/or support students 1:1 or in small group instruction
• Work closely with teachers to collaborate on academic interventions
• Assist classroom teachers with individualized instruction in core subjects
• Successfully work in a team environment
• Support student behavior as needed
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Reaching: Extending hand(s) and arm(s) in any direction
• Lifting: Raising objects from a lower to a higher position or moving objects horizontally
• Grasping: Applying pressure to an object with the fingers and palm
• Talking: Expressing or exchanging ideas by means of the spoken work; conveying detailed or important spoken instructions accurately, loudly, or quickly
• Hearing: Perceiving the nature of sounds at normal speaking levels with or without correction, receiving detailed information through oral communication, making fine discriminations in sound
• Repetitive motions: Making substantial movements of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers
• Subject to environmental conditions
• Provide consistent and reliable in‑person attendance

Qualifications

• Bilingual English/Spanish
• High school diploma required
• Experience working with children preferred

Skills

• Able to be flexible and adjust quickly to the needs of the day
• Good communication/collaboration skills with staff and students

Schedule

10 hours per week, Monday to Friday, part‑time, school year.
