Job Overview
WyldLife is seeking a School Connector to build a consistent weekly attendance of 20+ Twin Peaks students at WyldLife club.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain a positive, active presence within the Twin Peaks community.
- Build and maintain relationships with other parents and stay informed on school activities.
- Personally invite students and families to WyldLife club and follow up with new attendees.
- Distribute promotional materials and increase awareness of WyldLife.
- Identify students who need rides and coordinate carpools.
- Attend weekly clubs and communicate regularly with the WyldLife Director.
Qualifications
- Parent or guardian of a current Twin Peaks Middle School student.
- Strong relational presence within the school community.
- Comfortable initiating conversations and inviting others.
- Organized and reliable.
Time Commitment
Estimated 8 hours per week, including school presence, parent communication, club attendance, and ride coordination. The schedule is flexible and designed to fit within a parent's existing rhythms.
What Success Looks Like
- 20 Twin Peaks students attend the club weekly.
- Increased parent awareness of WyldLife.
- Congistent and functional carpool system.
- Regular first-time student attendance.
- Strong relational connections within the school community.
Compensation and Benefits
- Compensation: $20/hour (approx. 30-40 hours/month).
- Fundraising Component: $5,000/year (training and support provided).
Working Conditions
The schedule is flexible and designed to fit within a parent's existing rhythms. 4-5 hours/week spent at club, 2-3 hours/week spent networking at the school and inviting, 1 hour/week meeting with WL Director.
Position Overview
WyldLife is seeking a well-connected parent of a Twin Peaks Middle School student to serve as a School Connector. The primary objective of this role is clear and measurable: Build a consistent weekly attendance of 20+ Twin Peaks students at WyldLife club.
Required Education and Experience
- College degree preferred.
Training
Missionwide Training: None is required.
RTD training events such as New Staff Training, Winter Training, Focus Conferences and Young Life University are available on a request basis with approval of the regional director.
Regional Training: At the regional director’s prerogative, certain regional training events may be required.
Area Training: Actively engage in training provided by area leadership. Individualized training supervised by the area director designed to develop personal spiritual maturity and enhance personal character. Individualized program to learn and gain competency in ministry skills (e.g., The 5 C’s). Become familiar with area strategy and ministry health as assigned by the area director. Introduction to personal fund-raising principles including familiarity with Basic Elements for Part-time staff.
