Middle School Team Leader

Position Summary/Responsibilities

• Assist in the development and implementation of team/student goals and plans which are aligned with the District Strategic Plan.
• Team and student goals need to be monitored and evaluated through the use of student data at team meetings, IST meetings, CSE meetings, 504 meetings.
• Assist in the facilitation and implementation of effective student management plans with parents and administrators.
• Serve as a liaison between building level administration, staff, parents and students.
• Cookordinate the implementation of district level exams and NYS assessments.
• Facilitate team and student schedules.
• Facilitate five week progress reports and quarterly AIS and report cards; produce quarterly written reports, charts, and graphs to building principal.
• Disseminate necessary information from building, district and state.
• Provide meeting agenda and minutes to administration in a timely manner.
• Produce quarterly reports, charts and graphs for administrator.
• Meet with administrative staff on an as-needed basis.
• Participate in Team Leader meetings as scheduled.
• Facilitate PBIS implementation if appropriate; Possible participation in the Summer Leadership Academy and summer planning meetings.

Minimum Requirements

• Current GCSD Certified Teacher
• Effective or Highly Effective as determined by the Annual Professional Performance Review
• Tenure status preferred
• Is able to communicate well in written and oral format
• Shows evidence of leadership skill and ability
• Shows attention to detail
